After spending decades involved with fiber arts, I discovered weaving in 2010 when I was searching for something new in my life and it has been my passion ever since.

Starting with one loom I now have three. My computer controlled 32 shaft Megado is my favorite because of its tremendous flexibility. I have lived in a two-story house at the end of a dead-end dirt road in Rockingham, Vermont for over forty years. My looms are on the second floor where, looking out, I draw inspiration from the hills and woods across from the Rockingham Meetinghouse.

The infinite possibilities of fiber, pattern, and color interactions fascinate me. I use a broad range of weaving techniques to create visually complex designs.

I am particularly attracted to drafts from seventeenth century and eighteenth century weavers. Using those drafts as a starting point I combine and adapt them to create something new. It’s exciting to watch the pattern develop with each throw of the shuttle.

My weavings combine beauty with functionality.

Wool throws provide warmth from a natural fiber.

Cotton is the fiber I use for kitchen towels, napkins, table runners, and placemats.

My kitchen towels are meant to be used, washed and dried repeatedly.

My scarves made from a variety of man-made fibers including tencel, bamboo, and rayon. These fibers offer vibrant colors and a beautiful sheen.

Each piece is designed, warped, woven, and finished by me.
