I am a painter working primarily in oils, inspired by landscape and the shifting qualities of natural light.
My work is rooted in direct observation, with particular attention to color, value, temperature, and the edges that give form to what we see.
In awarding me Best New Artist at Plein Air Easton 2026, juror Mary Morton, Curator and Head of French Paintings at the National Gallery of Art, described my palette as “very quiet, but very sophisticated,” comparing my approach to the plein-air paintings of Camille Corot.
